All Prime Oak windows and doors are handcrafted in our own workshops to give us full control of standards and quality. Every window and door is of traditional flush casement design to best complement the period appearance of our buildings.

A Prime Oak frame is pre-constructed in our own workshops. Once on site, the frame is re-erected to provide a solid framework that ties together the building’s structure securely.

The true quality of any oak-framed building is dictated by its design and relies on the quality of every timber within the framework for its longevity, durability and practicality.

We carefully select our oak to ensure that the grain runs in the right direction. Then, as the timber naturally dries and shrinks, any movement follows the grain pattern in a predictable fashion so that the framework fulfils its structural role whilst maintaining its natural character and unique visual appeal.
