'The finished product exceeded our expectations and some, thank you Prime Oak!'

Having lived at The Old Plough for 40yrs, raising a family and seeing beloved pets come and go it was a home our clients loved as much, if not more, than the day they first moved in. Intending to spend the rest of their lives at The Old Plough they embarked on an extension project they had been thinking about for some time.

Such a charming and characterful property, the house is over 400yrs old and a listed building so the clients instinctively felt Oak was the natural product to compliment the existing house. Oak framing is a strong and distinctive form of building that has its roots firmly planted in history. The beauty of an Oak extension means that the wood will naturally soften and weather over time, resulting in a sympathetic addition to an older property.

The clients were at the age where they felt they could not afford to appoint the wrong contractor. With 50 years business experience it naturally lead them to start an extensive pre-build case study, the more they investigated the more Prime Oak’s name kept reoccurring. After looking at numerous reviews and obtaining references, the project commenced.

Our clients were both in their 70’s and as with any large project were quite concerned about the amount of disruption such a major project within the home could cause! However, the project ran smoothly as per the schedule which limited the disturbance as much as possible.

The finished project speaks for itself, the space has fully exploited the beauty of the Oak!
