Country Life & Forestry England have excitingly begun breaking ground at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, a beautiful spot located within the South Downs National Park. Introducing new biodiversity into the area is crucial to the environment and the wildlife that inhabits it. After a demonstration from Forestry England, the team got stuck in planting the first of 2,300 trees; thanks to the generous donations of Country Life readers, Charles Stanley and our contribution, the total figure raised was an impressive £11,625.
“ Thanks in large part to the Country Life campaign, Forestry England will be able to restore more than half the affected area to woodland in the coming planting season, which begins in January 2022.”
Prime Oak are very proud to have contributed to the amazing campaign and further give back to the fundamental needs of the environment. We look forward to watching these trees grow to form a thriving woodland that will provide a vital habitat for diversified nature, as well as capturing carbon and improving air quality.
Located just 20 minutes away from our show site in Hampshire (by appointment only), why not visit the largest country park in Hampshire and see the development for yourself! A ‘Country Life wood’ plaque is due to mark the site, with our name alongside other large contributors proudly adorning the sign.
