This Traditional Oak Orangery extension provides a light, spacious kitchen and dining area whilst the vaulted Oak Garden Room with exposed rafters is used as a place to relax and enjoy the views of the beautiful garden and beyond.
“The Garden Room is where we spend almost all of our indoor time, reading, watching TV and generally relaxing with the views of the garden and pond.
Despite two or three refurbishments over 38 years our clients still felt the kitchen was a bit on the small side.
We were approached to design, manufacture and install an Oak framed extension that would house the kitchen, dining room and living room. Our team designed a multi-project extension combining an Oak Garden Room and Oak Orangery creating an open plan room that also offers subtle separation with the use of 2 products.
The Oak extension has totally transformed the Cotswold home and our clients finally have the kitchen and dining area they dreamed of.
The Beauty of an Oak Framed Building
The beauty of Oak is that it offers the perfect balance for a sensitive, yet design led extension project. Subtle yet striking, you can’t help falling in love with the beauty of an Oak frame.
The character and warmth that is brought to your home with exposed Oak beams, their shakes and texture cannot be found with any other style of extension.
“The craftsmanship that has gone into our oak frame is evident and so beautiful!”- -
When a full rear extension is desired, the clever use of multiple projects can create a subtle separation between open plan rooms and add interest to the external elevation.
The Oak Garden Room roof pitch mirrors that of the existing home and by carefully matching the roof tiles the existing and new extension blend sympathetically.
The Traditional Oak Orangery cleverly nestles under the first floor windows, subtly fitting with the structure of the existing whilst adding character and charm.
